I can’t even begin to explain how I feel about modern indie labels. I don’t understand what they’re doing, at all. I don’t understand the music that comes out of big cities. I don’t understand people playing the professional circuit. We don’t identify with it, and probably never will. I’m just interested in creating my own path. I’ve never liked anyone who just took a check and sat in a fucking chair, and put their name on a list. We’ll work with people that are going to treat us like artists and not like commodities. I believe they’re out there, even in the music industry. I believe that people are still in touch with art, even though you wouldn’t know it. And at the moment what we’re doing is too much fun. We have a lot of freedom.
